Chippewa County Run
I thought it was cold for yesterdays run… This run was even colder.
A look at the big Lake from the Cabin!
Just after completing My Cheboygan County run I continued driving up to the cabin. This picture was taken the morning before the Chippewa County run.
Thank you Mel for giving me a ride so I didn’t have to do an out and back for this run!

More of the same. I probably only passed 8 cars on this entire run… But in the summertime this road would be 5 times that amount of traffic… at least!

Just finished my run… A little bit of sweat and boy do I look cold. Sure wish I had worn my hat and gloves on this run.
Back at the Cabin. Such a very cool place! A little cold today!
Update12/19/21: Was up at the cabin and ran this county on a very cold day! 18° Went up there for a family Christmas party/get together.
Update: 1/13/21: So this was planned next along with Emmet County, but here is the deal. I lost employment with a company that I had worked with for 28 years. Along with the COVID pandemic, it was made difficult to plan a trip up to the cabin… This will be a county I hit soon, but I’ve changed it over to “NOT planned next” because of the circumstances.
This is going to be an easy county. It’s one I’ve ran so many times in the past. My parents own a cabin on Lake Superior in Brimley, so it will be nice to visit there and get this run done. Will also be super fun to introduce Melody to the cabin and I’m so excited because I’ve spent a lot of time up there in the past. Also nice that this could be a breaking point for the runs that I do in the counties out west of here. Also thinking I can knock a few counties down on my return trips. So looking forward to this county. Will probably just run along Lakeshore Drive but we’ll see. Hoping Creig (my step-dad) will run this on with me.
This plan got pushed back a couple of weeks. It looks like this might happen mid-September now. (now it’s mid-October and this still isn’t complete.) I will try to finish this one before the end of 2020, but not sure when. I’ve had difficulties that I’m addressing currently to get back on track. Can’t wait!
