Antrim County Run

This was a run where my phone failed me because I must have hit a button and didn’t realize it. So I have no idea what my time was on this run, but my wife said it was about 40 min.

We drove out to Elk Rapids together and took this shot before the run. Lisa went for a walk while I ran. Thank you so much Lisa.

First road heading east on the south side of Bass Lake.

At the end of the above road I ran into this golf course.

Then headed north

Heading west on the North east side of the lake. Was pretty quite in this area. Not a lot of houses.

On this road I didn’t realize that the roads broke until I was halfway through my run. I kept going back and forth until I finally looked at my phone with an expanded view. Had to find a wa to the other road. It was easy on foot but not possible with a car. Would have been cool to know this prior to starting the route.

Looks like a boat launch.

One of the few houses I saw on this route. There were others but they were on offshoot roads towards the lake.

Thought this was a cool little park.

Coming back into town. Took a little different route than the map above shows, but it was for sure a 5k with all the back and fourth trying to find my way where the road split.

No real plan here. Just knew Elk Rapids was the closest county to run and instead of doing my regular run I asked Lisa if she would go to Elk Rapids or Leelanau County with me. We decided on Antrim County. I looked up Bass Lake on Map My Run website and realized that it was about a 5k just a few minutes before leaving home.

Such a fun weekend! Tackled three counties! Eaton County, Jackson County, and Livingston County Headed down after work on Friday and headed back after my Livingston run at 10 am Saturday morning over 9 miles of running in about 14 hours.

Memorial Weekend and I decided to knock a few counties in the U.P. off the list. Schoolcraft was also planned but Friday I had an appointment that ran late and I had to drop a run So I did Delta County, Dickinson County, and Menominee County!

Ran my final lower peninsula county! Had a graduation party in Davison so I decided to drive to Macomb to get this final one complete. Now to the UP! Macomb County.

My wettest run of the challenge. I'm heading up to the U.P. to knock five counties off my list: Schoolcraft County is the first, followed by Gogebic, Ontonagon, Houghton, and Iron.

This Fourth of July weekend, I ran 5 counties in 5 days. Schoolcraft County already listed, then Gogebic County, Ontonagon County, Houghton County, & Iron County

These three counties were planned for Memorial weekend, but paused because of car issues. Finally done. Alger County, Baraga County, & Marquette County
